Welcome to Pet Urgent Response and Emergency (PURE)!

We’re excited that you’re considering joining our team! PURE was founded right here in 2022 and opened its doors to the public in May 2023. We’re a privately-owned emergency veterinary hospital in Jacksonville, led by Dr. Fernando Garcia-Pereira, a veterinary anesthesiologist with a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Dr. Garcia earned his DVM in Brazil and completed his internship and residency at Washington State University. With over 15 years of experience as a professor and service chief of anesthesia at Michigan State University and the University of Florida, he’s dedicated to sharing his knowledge with students, technicians, and fellow veterinarians.

Positions We are Looking For

Position Overview

We’re looking for technicians with 2 or more years of experience in Emergency Medicine and Surgery to join our Emergency Medicine team. We’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For

  • 2 or more years of experience in ER
  • Overnight and weekend shifts are required
  • Lead and clinical manager positions may be possible with time
  • A team player who’s excited to learn and be part of a supportive environment

Position Overview

We’re looking for veterinarians of all experience levels to join our Emergency Medicine team. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, we’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For

A valid Florida veterinary license and PLIT coverage. • Surgical experience for common ER surgeries is a plus but not required. We’re happy to help you learn and grow your surgical skills. • A team player who’s excited to learn and be part of a supportive environment.

What We Offer

No non-compete clause or negative accrual—we believe in supporting your growth! • Paid production in addition to a base salary, with production starting at 23% (paid monthly). • Base salary based on your experience and surgical skills. • Retirement plan, health insurance, and CE allowance.

You’ll work alongside other ER doctors, receive specialist support, and collaborate with a talented team of technicians, all with access to state-of-the-art equipment to provide the best care for our patients.

Our hospital is conveniently located at 8117 Point Meadows Drive, UNIT 107-109, in Jacksonville’s Baymeadows area.
